Croatia Home Shirt 2016

Nike Inc. and Croatian Football Federation (HNS) publish the entirely new Croatia home shirt 2016 to celebrate long-term cooperation between them. New football shirts are endowed with classic decorative pattern Checkerboard while some interested changes are introduced into it. Over 500 years, unique white and red decorative pattern Checkerboard is always symbol of Croatia, showing tranquility, courage and power of all Croatian people. Inspired by flags waving in breeze wind, designer created an entirely new decorative pattern Checkerboard with slight fluctuation.

Croatia home shirt is designed with a modern V-shaped collar, attached a blue piping edge on the back of collar. The “Hrvatska” on the back of collar reminds players all the time to fight for their country. National badge of Croatia adopts flat and seamless reticular structure of silica gel rather than traditional version to reduce the friction caused by national badge. Blue stripes on left and right side are aligned with that of white shorts. Socks are stuffed with red and white decorative pattern Checkerboard, an echo of football shirts.

“We are in a country full of passion for football. Decorative pattern Checkerboard tells many stories between football and national the football team. I like new football shirts combined traditional and modern elements”, said Luka Modrić.

It embodies not only the symbolic detail designs, but also performance creation, environmental technology and sustainability. Sweat is absorbed from surface of player’s body and is evaporated in short time to make player comfortable and dry, leaving them in the best status.

Sustainability takes the priority over other things like design and color while Nike promises to equip the incomparable advantages with football shirts and less effects on environment.

Each set of kit, including garment, shorts and socks, is made of recycled plastics, which is degraded into high-quality yarn and to be used as the main cloth of shirts. Each of them is made of 16 plastic bottle on average.
