With the forthcoming 2018 FIFA World Cup, some football shirts for national teams are officially unveiled. As is known to us, the two big brands Adidas and Nike will be responsible for a vast majority of said 23 teams’ jerseys. Adidas leads with ten teams ahead of Nike with eight. New Balance has two teams (Costa Rica and Panama) and leads the rest of pack ahead of Erreà, Puma and Umbro, who all have one team each (so far).
In recent days, Adidas publishes the Russia 2018 World Cup jersey. The new shirt introduces a clean design, derived from a classic shirt 1988 USSR jersey and made by advanced technology. Besides, Adidas is responsible for other national teams’ jerseys including Germany, Spain, Argentina, Japan, Colombia and Mexico etc.
Russia 2018 World Cup shirt is bright red with white 3 Adidas Stripes on the shoulders and a white v-collar. Most noticeably, a white brand from the outside chest around the upper sleeve to the outside of the upper back is designed uniquely this time. A bit of blue is present on the shirt as well, in the form of a flag detail on the inside collar. The double-headed eagle and the word “ВместеКПобеде” are woven into the inside of collar, which means “Where there is unity there is always victory.” Meanwhile, white shorts and red socks complete the kit.
Juergen Rank, the senior design supervisor of Adidas, says:“The new products are designed to show respect for countless football products and classic designs Adidas has created up to now. Big football fans, like football players, long to be loyal to these classic designs and pursue more excellent ones at the same time. Therefore, we meet their demand to design new products with classic and modern style.”
